Barrier Memphis Insulation Company

About our Memphis insulation contractor company

A narrow storage unit has cream spray foam covering its walls and sloped ceiling beside a concrete floor.

We fix the house around the equipment

I spent years in heating and cooling before I switched trades and started Barrier Memphis Insulation Company in 2021. Working on furnaces and ductwork, I kept seeing that the house around the equipment decided how well it ran, because a good system in a drafty house still leaves the upstairs hot and the power bill high. So I learned insulation and air sealing on other crews, then on my own jobs, and built this Memphis insulation contractor business around doing both in the right order.

I still come out to look at your job and give the estimate myself, and our installers do the work. Homeowners call us most, along with property managers and building owners with commercial work, here in Memphis and across the cities around it in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas. What I care about first is that your house is safe to live in once we tighten it up, so fresh air and anything that burns fuel come ahead of the rest. If your attic or crawl space has you wondering, get in touch and I'll come take a look.

What you can expect from us

  • A plan for the whole house

I spent years on furnaces and ductwork, so I look at your equipment along with your attic or crawl space. Your plan covers how the house and system work together, not just the spaces we fill.

  • Air sealing comes first

We close the gaps around lights, pipes and the attic hatch before any insulation goes in, because air leaking through them carries heat past it. Sealing first is what lets the insulation you pay for do its job.

  • Problems named at the visit

If a roof leak, mold or a wet spot has to be fixed first, I'll tell you at the estimate and we'll plan the job around it. We won't bury it under fresh insulation and leave it there.
